Are You A Whitehall Zephyr Graduate of Distinction? Or do you know someone who is?

The Whitehall-Coplay School District would like to recognize the accomplishments of Zephyr graduates in the areas of music, art, academic achievements, civic or military achievements, community service or significant personal achievement.

Submit your nominations by Jan. 4. Nomination forms are available at the Whitehall Township Public Library and the Coplay Public Library as well as on the district website.

For the Lil' Shoppers: Steckel Elementary School will be having its Lil' Shoppers Shoppe through Dec. 21.

Early Dismissal: Parents are reminded there will be an early dismissal tomorrow, Friday, Dec 21, throughout the district.

First grade and morning kindergarten students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m.

This means morning kindergarten students will be dismissed approximately 10 minutes later than usual. They will be riding the bus with the elementary buses.

There will be no afternoon indergarten on this day.

Schools closed: Schools will be closed for the holiday vacation Dec. 24 through Jan. 1.

Classes resume Wednesday, Jan. 2. Have a safe and wonderful holiday with family and friends.

PTO holiday tour: The PTO is sponsoring a bus trip to New York City Saturday, Dec. 29, which will include Macy's Herald Square, Rockefeller Center and other shopping areas.

The bus departs from Whitehall High School at 9 a.m. and will return around 9 p.m. There is a cost. Ticket price includes services of a professional travel guide, driver gratuity and maps for each stop.

A professional development day is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 14. School will be closed.
