Twenty-six county conservation districts received funding to promote water pollution strategies across Pennsylvania.
Lehigh County Conservation District received $1,300 to conduct water quality educational seminars.
"As a member of the Conservation District, it is imperative that we work to maintain our waterways," watershed specialist and agricultural resource conservationist Laura Richenderfer said. "We want to remind the community that we are all stewards in protecting our natural resources, and together we can preserve these commodities for years to come."
Education and outreach on these seminars are expected to take place at the 2012 Allentown Fair.
