Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) has announced a $50,000-commitment by Ironton Telephone Company to support the college's Early Learning Center through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. A check for $25,000 was recently presented to LCCC President Donald W. Snyder and Foundation Executive Director Tim Herrlinger. The locally-owned company has committed another $25,000 for the fiscal year 2013 - '14. "We are delighted to be able to help provide access to the learning center for area families in need," said Ironton CEO William George II. The funding will support scholarships for eligible families to have their children attend LCCC's Early Learning Center.
