Junior captain Ramzy Burns of the Muhlenberg College women's cross country team was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for excellence in the classroom and on the course for the second consecutive year.
Burns, a Northwestern High School graduate, placed 61st at the CC Championships to help the Mules match the best finish in program history. They came in fourth, behind three teams ranked in the top 20 in Division III, for the second year in a row.
Burns, who was Muhlenberg's sixth runner, also helped the team finish eighth out of 49 teams at the NCAA Mideast Regional, its second straight year in the top 10.
To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student must be a sophomore or higher in class standing; a starter or key reserve on her team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.
Burn is a biochemistry major.
