DUI
Lauren Ickes, 22, of Alburtis, was arrested for DUI on Mountain Road northeast of Lorene Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 1:57 a.m. Nov. 3. Ickes was involved in a single-vehicle accident and allegedly drove off the road while attempting to negotiate a right hand curve. Ickes said she was distracted by the radio and was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence.
Megan Barnes, 28, of Nazareth, was arrested for DUI and drug possession on Interstate 78 westbound between mile marker 59.3 and 58.9, Salisbury Township, 8:51 a.m. Nov. 30. Barnes was stopped because her vehicle was clocked traveling 80 mph in a 55 mph zone. She was allegedly found to be under the influence of marijuana and in possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.
Shanna Morello, 26, of Bethlehem, was arrested for DUI on State Route 222 southbound at Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:31 a.m. Dec. 6. Morello was stopped for speeding and was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
Criminal mischief
An unknown actor damaged Christmas lights in the 7100 block of Tuscany Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 9 p.m. Nov. 27 and 6 p.m. Nov. 28.
An unknown actor threw eggs at the passenger side of a parked vehicle in the 2000 block of Strathmore Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 4:30 p.m. Nov. 29 and 11 a.m. Dec. 1.
An unknown actor cut the wire on a strand of Christmas lights in the 7100 block of Tuscany Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 10:15 p.m. Dec. 1 and 3 p.m. Dec. 2.
An unknown actor cut the wire on a strand of Christmas lights in the 7000 block of Tuscany Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 10 p.m. Dec. 3 and 5 p.m. Dec. 4.
Ethnic intimidation
Two unknown actors made ethnically intimidating remarks against a 14-year-old Macungie resident's Jewish heritage on a social media site 7 p.m. Dec. 2.
Harassment
Paul Alwalah, 48, and Jane Alwalah, 43, both of Macungie, were cited for harassment in the 7100 block of Hearth Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 1 a.m. Dec. 3. The parties allegedly became involved in a physical altercation following a domestic dispute.
Simple assault
Paul Alwalah, 48, of Macungie, was arrested for simple assault and harassment in the 7100 block of Hearth Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 7:15 a.m. Dec. 4. Alwalah allegedly threw a hard plastic radio and a wooden laundry basket at the female victim's head during an argument.
Disorderly conduct
Denise Hobbie, of Allentown, was cited with disorderly conduct for allowing four false alarms in a 12-month period.
Retail theft
An unknown actor stole a leather jacket from Kohl's 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 4:20 p.m. Nov. 8. The actor went into the dressing room with two jackets and hid one under his clothes before returning the other one to the rack. The value of the jacket is $150.
Donte Chapman, 19, of Allentown, was arrested for retail theft and drug possession at Marshalls, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 2:15 p.m. Nov. 26. Chapman allegedly attempted to steal $336.31 worth of merchandise while in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Benjamin Gehman, 22, of Emmaus, and Austin Shingler, 22, of Macungie, were charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:38 p.m. Nov. 30. The two males allegedly attempted to steal $60.83 worth of merchandise.
Loretta Bengivenga, 21, of Pen Argyl, and Michael Kutish, 28, of Macungie, were charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 2:44 and 3:30 a.m. Dec. 3. The pair allegedly attempted to steal health and beauty items.
