Emmaus High School students are counting down the days until the long-anticipated Christmas break.

Until then, there are quite a few events and activities in place at Emmaus High School. On Dec. 6, parent teacher conferences were held at EHS.

In honor of National Computer Science Education Week, there was a computer science showcase at EHS Dec. 6, following parent teacher conferences. Visitors met computer science professionals from the community, saw a demonstration from the Robotics Club and enjoyed cake and apple cider.

The band concert was held Dec. 7 in the EHS auditorium.

Congratulations to senior Ashley Williams for performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade after being accepted into the Macy's Great American Marching Band. Williams has been a member of marching band and Esquires Jazz Band since her sophomore year.

Underclassmen took the newly instated Keystone exams Dec. 7 to 11. Students were tested based on the completion of the biology, algebra I and literature courses.

On Friday, Dec. 14, students will enjoy an Act 80 Day and will be dismissed 11 a.m. Also on that day, seniors will be having their senior breakfast. Students are asked to send their favorite photos from school-related functions to emmaus2013@gmail. com if they wish to have their photos included in a slideshow.

The orchestra concert will be held 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Dec. 14.
