The seventh- and eighth-grade holiday dance will take place in the middle school gymnasium 6:30-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.

Refreshments will be provided by the PTO. Semi-formal/formal attire is not recommended. Students must also adhere to school dress guidelines that may be found in the student handbook.

This dance, chaperoned by WCMS teachers, is for seventh- and eighth-grade WCMS students only. Students from other grade levels and schools are not permitted to attend.

Parent transportation is required and students must be picked up no later than 9 p.m.

Parents who intend to pick up their son or daughter earlier than 9 p.m. should report to the middle school sports entrance in order to sign out the student and provide ID.

Schools closed: A professional development day is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 14. School will be closed.

Lil' Shoppers Shoppe: The students at Zephyr Elementary School will host their Lil' Shoppers Shoppe for the holidays Dec. 10-13.

Steckel Elementary School will host the Lil' Shoppers Shoppe Dec. 13-21. Watch for more information being sent home.

School board meeting: The school board will meet Monday, Dec. 10 starting at 7 p.m. at the district administration offices.

The public is invited.

Please help: The Zephyr Key Club's holiday drive began Nov. 27 and runs until Friday, Dec. 14.

The Key Club is collecting nonperishable food items for Christmas dinner baskets to donate to Whitehall families over the holidays. Teachers from the Whitehall Coplay Education Association will be assisting the Zephyr Key Club in delivering the food baskets Dec. 17-21.

In addition to donations for food baskets, the Key Club is collecting new toys, hats, gloves and gently used and new coats to donate to local families in need.
