District Attorney Jim Martin; Chief Roger MacLean, Allentown Police Department; Chief Daniel Trexler, Coopersburg Police Department; Chief Linda Kulp, Whitehall Police Department; and Chief David Faust, Emmaus Police Department announced the filing of criminal charges against the actor labeled by the media as "The Bicycle Bandit."
On Nov. 30, members of the Emmaus Police Department, Allentown Police Department, Lehigh County Drug Task Force and the Whitehall Police Department responded to a home in the 600 block of Walnut Street, Emmaus, to serve an arrest warrant on Steven Felton, 31, and to execute a search warrant.
Felton was arrested and charged with six counts of robbery for his alleged involvement in a series of robberies of convenience stores and beverage distributorships occurring in Emmaus, Whitehall, Allentown and Coopersburg during the months of October and November.
"This apprehension illustrates another example of exceptional cooperation between the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office and multiple law enforcement agencies and jurisdictions who remain involved," Faust said.
Felton was taken to the Lehigh County Central booking facility and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Michael Pochron later that evening.
The investigation is ongoing with the possibility of the filing of additional charges.
