Annual cookie walk benefits Old Zionsville UCC Church

On Dec. 8, Old Zionsville UCC Church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will hold its annual cookie walk 8 a.m. to noon. Homemade Christmas cookies and candy will be for sale by the pound. For information, call 610-966-5115 or 610-966-5220.

On Dec. 15, Old Zionsville UCC will host an all you can eat breakfast and bake sale 7 to 11 a.m. There will be a cost for guests six and over. The public is welcome.

The Upper Milford Youth Association will not meet this month. They will meet next 7:30 p.m. Jan. 15, 2013.

Lower Milford Township Fire Company, 1601 Limeport Pike, is holding a pork and sauerkraut dinner 4:30 to 7 p.m. or until sold out Dec. 13. Patrons can eat in or take out.

The Vera Cruz senior citizens regular meeting will be 1 p.m. Dec. 20.

The Vera Cruz Community Association will hold its annual holiday party 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Vera Cruz firehouse. This event is to thank all the volunteers who help out at the association's events during the course of the year.

In Upper Milford, supervisors will hold their regular meeting Dec. 6 but have canceled the Dec. 20 meeting. They will hold a year-end meeting with a workshop 7 p.m. and the regular meeting 7:30 p.m. Dec. 27. They will adopt the 2013 budget at that time. The budget can be reviewed at the township office through Dec. 12.

In Lower Milford, the Recreation and Open Space board meeting regularly scheduled for Dec. 12 has been canceled. The supervisors will hold a workshop meeting Dec. 6 but no other meeting in December.

The Historical Commission will meet 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11.

Upper Milford Western District Fire Company No. 1 will hold its breakfast buffet Jan. 5, 2013.

A holiday light display at 7125 Carls Hill Road, Zionsville, will be lit this month, and the homeowner will be accepting donations for The Keystone Soldiers. All donations collected will go to this organization. To view the display, follow signs from Route 29/100 or from Powder Valley Road in Upper Milford Township. The display will be lit every night in December and into early January, 2013 as soon as it gets dark.
