Exchange Club recognizes students of the month
Described as the "best of the best" by Dr. Rodger Berg, chairman of the Northampton Exchange Club's Service to Youth Program, four Northampton Area High School seniors were lauded at the club's recent dinner at the Northampton Memorial Community Center.
Cited as Girl of the Month for September was Darby McCall. Joshua Reightler was the club's Boy of the Month for September.
Honored as the October Girl of the Month was Maureen Weaver. The October Boy of the Month honor went to Nicholas Wachter.
Berg said the four seniors selected as students of the month excel not only in the classroom, but also distinguish themselves in activities such as music, athletics, clubs and the community. Club members were told the honorees are talented, work hard and show great promise in the future.
"They have challenges ahead, I am confident they will meet these challenges," Berg said. "Excellence can be achieved if you expect more than others think is possible."
