The Zephyr Winter Concert is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

Help the Key Club: The Zephyr Elementary Key Club is collecting nonperishable food, toys, hats, gloves and coats through Friday, Dec. 14.

The food will be distributed through food baskets to area families. Teachers from the Whitehall-Coplay Education Association will assist the club with delivering baskets Dec. 17-21.

New toys, hats, gloves and gently used and new coats are being collected to be given to families in need in the Whitehall community.

Checking lunch accounts: Parents are encouraged to check their child's lunch account often to assure that funds are available to purchase lunches.

Accounts can be checked online through the "Lunchbox Account."

If you need an account set up, please visit mySchoolBucks.com. Those without online access may call the cafeteria 9:30-11 a.m. weekdays to check the balance.

School closed: A professional development day for staff is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 14. There will be no school for students that day.

Box tops: The PTO continues to collect box tops from General Mills products.

The box tops are sorted and sent to the General Mills Corporation in return for donations.

The PTO thanks parents and others who collect and send in the box tops.
