The Central Catholic High School administration will be holding a free tuition raffle for the class of 2017.

All eighth-grade students who submit their complete application and registration fee by Feb. 2, 2013, will be automatically entered into the drawing. The CCHS National Honor Society will provide tutoring to all Central students 7:40 to 8:15 a.m. every morning before school.

Students will be given individual attention on the subject of their choice from a senior who has excelled in that particular subject.

Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the DeSales tutoring sessions 3-4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.

Students must sign up for this program with their subject teachers and are expected to attend every session upon enrollment.

Similar to the NHS tutoring program, CCHS students will be given individual attention from a current DeSales student.

The fourth annual I Run For Jack 5K Run/Walk will take place at the Lehigh Parkway Nov. 24.

A former Central Catholic teacher and coach, Jack Pressman was a beloved member of the CCHS community.

All proceeds from this memorial event will benefit the Jack Pressman Memorial Scholarship Fund which seeks to provide financial aid to prospective Central Catholic students who have thrived in the field of academics.

Central Catholic will be hosting its Viking Fest 2013 6 to 10 p.m. April 13 in Rockne Hall Gym. Held every year, Viking Fest is Central Catholic's premiere social and fundraising event.
