Teachers attend conference

Lehigh Valley Christian High School survived Hurricane Sandy relatively unscathed. Our building, on Howertown Road in Catasauqua, never lost electricity, heat or Internet service, nor was there any flooding. Some of the aluminum facing on the front top of the building got ripped off or bent back, but that is the only damage we could find. We are very grateful.

As a result of Sandy, we had to make some calendar changes. The fall athletic awards night has been rescheduled for tonight, Thursday, Nov. 15.

In October our teachers attended the second annual ACSI Nexus Live conference. This is a new model of professional development for Christian educators. It is designed to be a continuous education process, providing training through a live event along with virtual content on demand.

Speakers included ACSI President Dr. Brian Simmons, Dr. Charlotte Danielson of The Danielson Group, U.S. Senate Chaplain Dr. Barry Black, ACSI Africa Director Dr. Samson Makhado, William and Mary Heritage Professor Dr. James Stronge and Compassion International President Dr. Wes Stafford.
