Due to parent-teacher conferences scheduled for Nov. 15-16, elementary students will have an early dismissal today, Thursday, Nov. 15, and also on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 19 and 20.

Elementary students will not have school Friday, Nov. 16.

School will be in session Wednesday, Nov. 21, and Monday, Nov. 26. These are make up days originally scheduled as days off.

Parent-teacher conferences: Elementary school parent-teacher conferences will take place Nov. 15-20.

Be sure to keep your scheduled appointments with your child's teachers.

Carnival: An indoor carnival will be held 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the American Club in Coplay.

The carnival raises money for the family of 2012 Northampton Area High School graduate Alec Ferullo, who died Oct. 8 of brain cancer.

During his illness, his father had to take an unpaid leave in order to care for him. Proceeds of the event benefit the family.

The event will include games for all ages and refreshments.

PTAs and PTSA to meet: The Borough Elementary School PTA will be hold its monthly meeting 7 p.m. Nov. 13.

The high school PTSA plans to meet the same evening beginning at 6 p.m.

The middle school PTA will meet 6 p.m. Nov. 14.

School Board to Meet: The school board will meet on Monday, Nov. 19. The group begins their meeting at 7 p.m. and meetings are held at the administration offices on Laubach Ave. Mark your calendars and plan to attend.

Adolescent depression awareness parent night is rescheduled for 6 p.m. Dec. 5.

A presentation will be given by Dr. Steven P. Kachmar, psychologist with the Weller Center, in the high school auditorium.
