Upper Milford Youth Association basketball registration is now open on umya.org. Volunteer coaches are still needed.

The quarterly meeting of the Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society of Upper Milford Township will be held 7 p.m. Nov. 27 in the Upper Milford Township building, 5671 Chestnut St., Zionsville. Zionsville resident James Baker will give a talk on Ernst Hartenfeld, an itinerant painter of the area in the early 1900s.

Lower Milford Township Fire Company, 1601 Limeport Pike, is holding a pork and sauerkraut dinner Nov. 8 and a spaghetti dinner Nov. 29. Both dinners run 4:30 to 7 p.m.

The Upper Milford Western District Fire Co. #1 Ladies Auxiliary meets 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at the firehouse. They are always looking for new members and new ideas.

Old Zionsville UCC Church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will host an all you can eat breakfast 7 to 11 a.m. Nov. 17.

Thanksgiving is coming up and St. Peter's Union Church is once again holding a joint Service of Thanksgiving with Huff's Church 7 p.m. Nov. 21 at Huff's Church.

The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit will also hold a Thanksgiving Eve worship service noon Nov. 21.

The Vera Cruz senior citizens will meet 1 p.m. Nov. 15.

School House Lane in Lower Milford Township will be closed Nov. 12 through 16 between Scout Road and Zionsville Road.

Following is the regular Lower Milford Township meeting schedule for November. All begin at 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted: Supervisors, regular meeting Nov. 15; Historical Commission, Nov. 13; Recreation and Open Space Committee, Nov. 14.

The November meeting of the Emmaus/Upper Milford Township Joint Environmental Advisory Council will be held 7 p.m. Nov. 26 in Emmaus Borough Hall.

The Upper Milford Township Open Space Committee meets at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the township building. There are currently some vacancies on the committee. If you are interested, contact the township office.

The Upper Milford Recreation Commission meets 7:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of every month.

Upper Milford Township supervisors meets Nov. 15. They regularly meet the first and third Thursday of the month, with a workshop 7 p.m. and the regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. If you can't get to the meetings, the minutes are now available online at the township website.

The Upper Milford Historical Society meets 7 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Upper Milford municipal building. For information, call vice president Neil Moser at 610-966-4376.
