The Museum of Indian Culture, 2825 Fish Hatchery Road, Allentown, is holding its annual Open House noon - 4 p.m. Nov. 18.
The event will include American Indian craft demonstrations of sweetgrass basketry, quillwork, flute making, bead and leatherwork, and Atlatl throwing.
Learn how to make a corn-usk doll. See the exhibit, "Kachinas: Spirit Dolls of the Hopi," featuring more than 70 hand-carved, hand-painted wooden figures based on Hopi kachinas carved by George Melloy, a retired Bethlehem Steel Corp. metallurgical engineer.
Learn about American Indian artifact collecting from museum curator Lee Hallman. Hear traditional Iroquois sories and songs by clan mother Vicky Shenandoah, a member of the upstate New York Oneida Nation.
Peruse the museum and Holiday Shop in the Turtle Island Gift Shop. Refreshments will be available.
The museum is also holding its annual Holiday cookies bake sale this winter.
