District News
An indoor carnival will be held 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the American Club in Coplay.
The carnival raises money for the family of 2012 Northampton Area High School graduate Alec Ferullo, who died Oct. 8 of brain cancer.
During his illness, his father had to take an unpaid leave in order to care for him. Proceeds of the event benefit the family.
The event will include games for all ages and refreshments.

Help still sought: The Moore Elementary School is currently organizing a Veterans Day event for Friday, Nov. 9.
The school is looking for veterans or current military personnel to talk with their students or do presentations on this day.
If interested, contact Mr. Muschlitz at muschlib@nasdschools. org or Principal Curt Dimmick dimmickc@nasdschools.org.
Marking period ends: It may be hard to believe but the first marking period is almost over. Throughout the district, the first marking period will close Nov. 6.
This means report cards are right around the corner. If you have any questions or concerns, contact your child's school or teacher.
Adolescent Depression Awareness Parent Night is scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the high school auditorium.
This presentation will be made by The Weller Center and Dr. Steven P. Kachmar, psychologist.
