Weissport
An Old Fashioned Hay Ride and Fall Fest will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27; and Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Weissport Park and Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport, 880 Allen St.
The event will include tractor-drawn hayrides along the historic canal, a tractor show, crafters, a pumpkin patch, homemade food and children's activities.
This event is also catering to seniors, elderly individuals and people with disabilities. Families of all ages are also invited to attend.
Hayrides will be held every 20 minutes, from 11 a.m. throughout the day.
The hayride will give everyone the opportunity to see the the historic Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport during the height of the fall foliage experience.
Everyone will see blazing foliage reflected in the Lehigh Canal on one side of the trail and view the glorious Lehigh River on the other side of the trail.
Children's activities include a "train ride" in the park for little ones, a bounce house, make-your-own scarecrow, a pumpkin patch and a pedal tractor pull event.
Homemade food, served with table service, will especially accommodate seniors and people with disabilities.
There will also be a Chinese auction.
Reservations for the hayride are encouraged for groups of 10 or more people.

This event is being is organized by Beltzville Lions Club and is sponsored by L-TNT Pyrotechs Inc., Walnutport, who are providing the tractors, transportation and drivers.
Lehigh Canal Recreation Commission is opening the park gates and welcoming everyone to this event.
Walnutport Canal Association is providing the hay wagons.
Tickets for hayrides will be available.
There will be many attendants to assist the elderly and people with disabilities on and off the hay wagons and to assist with the serving of food.
