Renew Lehigh Valley will hold a series of public meetings to engage the residents of the Lehigh Valley in a regional planning project called Envision Lehigh Valley.
The public meetings will garner residents' views and input on the overall quality of life in their neighborhood and the greater Lehigh Valley and engage them in an integral planning process for the future of the community.
According to the latest U.S. Census data, the Lehigh Valley is projected to grow by another 188,700 people (32.6 percent), or 72,000 households, by 2030.
The amount of open space and agricultural lands has decreased by 22 percent since 1975. Where will these households go?
The scheduled public meetings are listed below, with other regional meetings still to be added to the events calendar:
· Lower Macungie Community Center, 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 16
· Salisbury High School 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 5
· Lehigh County Senior Center 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8
