Marian Catholic defeated Northwestern in a non-league volleyball contest, 25-16, 25-12, 25-12.

Marykate Sherkness had 12 kills and eight digs to lead Marian. Grace Boyle added eight aces and four kills and Abby O'Donnell chipped in with 29 assists.

For Northwestern (7-6), Trista Cunningham had five kills. Sara Hufnagle had seven assists and Mariana Valencia added 11 digs.

N'western-Freedom

Freedom's Krysta Klotz scored the contest's sole goal as the Patriots pulled out the 1-0 non-league win over Northwestern.

Lauren Musselman had four saves for Freedom (8-9-1).

For Northwestern (0-17-1), Laura Kotula stopped 11 shots in the net.

The Lady Tigers dropped a 2-0 setback to Catasauqua.

Catty's Hannah Edwards and Colleen Hickey were the goal scorers.

The Tigers' Julie Dietrich had 11.

Catasauqua defeated Northwestern, 2-0.

Northwestern got 11 saves from Julie Dietrich.

Catasauqua also won the JV game, 3-1.

Northwestern defeated Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg, 5-2.

Northwestern used a strong second half to defeat Notre Dame (E.S.), 8-0.

Boston Furjanic had two goals for Northwestern (14-3-1 overall, 12-2 Colonial League). Brandon Herb and Matt Strickland also added a goal and an assist for the Tigers. Northwestern had 19 shots to Notre Dame's one.
