Copper wire stolen

from Penn Big Bed

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say approximately 3,000 to 4,000 pounds of copper wire was stolen sometime between 4:30 p.m. Sept. 21 and noon the next day from behind a locked gate at Penn Big Bed Slate Company, 8450 Brown St., Washington Township.

The wire, valued at approximately $30,000, was removed from the property using a forklift, say police.

Window smashed

in Washington Twp.

Lisa Cayne reported to police the driver side window was smashed on her Ford F-350 while it was parked in the 4000 block of Main St., Washington Township, between 7 a.m. Sept. 29 and 9:30 a.m. the next day, State Police Troop M Bethlehem, say.

No items of value were taken, police say.

Bobcat door stolen

in Weisenberg Twp.

Randy Jacob Metzger reported to police a black door from a 2006 Bobcat was stolen from a construction site at Independent Road and Katem Court, Weisenberg Township, sometime between 4 p.m. Oct. 11 and 8 a.m. the next day, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to call police at 610-395-1438.

Windows broken

in Lynn Township

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Ted William Czupich of New Hope reported the passenger side front window was broken on his vehicle and William J. Davis Jr. of Levittown reported his driver's side front window was broken to gain access into his vehicle at the Route 309 entrance to the Appalachain Trail, Lynn Township, between 11:45 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. Oct. 13.

In a separate incident, Thomas Clark of Reading and Kimberly Brown of Allentown reported to police a purse and its contents were stolen and the windows on two cars were broken at the Appaachain Trail parking lot on Route 309, Lynn Township, sometime between noon and 12:30 p.m. Oct. 14, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

Driver arrested

for DUI

Dominick Fornaro, 24, of Slatington was stopped for an alleged traffic violations on Route 100 at Game Preserve Road, Lowhill Township, around 12:25 a.m. Oct. 7, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

Police allege multiple indicators of intoxication were observed.

Fornaro was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance, police say.

Charges will be filed upon the receipt of blood test before District Judge Michael Faulkner, Upper Macungie Township.
