The Moore Elementary School is currently organizing a Veterans Day event for Friday, Nov. 9.

The school is looking for Veterans or current military personnel to talk with their students or do presentations on this day.

PTA: The school district PTA Council meeting will be on Thursday, Oct. 18, at the high school. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.

Market Day pickup: Parents are reminded to pick up their Market Day orders 3:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Lehigh Elementary.

Parent-teacher conferences: Washington's Crossing will hold parent-teacher conferences Thursday, Oct. 25.

Parents are asked to keep their scheduled meet times. Communication between parents and teachers is vital to your child's education success.

Early dismissal: Due to a teacher in-service day Friday, Oct. 26, students will be dismissed early.

Dismissal times are 10:35 a.m. for secondary students and noon for elementary and Washington's Crossing.

No lunches will be served.

Festival of Bands: The Northampton Area High School Big "N" Band will present the 2012 Festival of Bands Saturday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. rain or shine in Al Erdosy Stadium, located just behind the high school.

There is a cost. Tickets are available at the gate and parking is free.

PTA council meeting: The Northampton Area School District PTA council meeting will take place Thursday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. at Northampton Area High School.

School board meeting: The next school board meeting is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 22, at 6:30 p.m. at the district offices, 2014 Laubach Avenue.
