Today is picture day at Sheckler. Students should bring their smiles along with them to school.

Volunteer firefighters from the Catasauqua Fire Department will visit the elementary school tomorrow for Fire Prevention Day.

Firefighters will teach students the importance of fire safety.

Don't forget to come out and enjoy the Catasauqua Halloween parade, scheduled for Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.

The rain date for the parade is Oct. 24.

The deadline for the box tops collection contest is quickly approaching. The deadline for the first submission is Oct. 19.

Please be sure to send in box tops with your child to help their class be the winning classroom in their grade level. Top classrooms in each grade level will receive money for a party of the teacher's choice.

Don't forget to return your child's health form. Third graders need to return dental forms as well. They are due now.

Parents, remember to write your children's names on coats, backpacks and lunch boxes. In the event personal items go missing at school, a name will help locate the rightful owner.

Be sure to have your child check the lost and found for any missing items.
