DUI

Bonita Beckwith, of Wescosville, was arrested for DUI at 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 22. Police responded to a two-vehicle collision involving Beckwith and allegedly found her to be under the influence of alcohol.

Adam Gusick, 22, of Lansford, was arrested for DUI on Interstate 78 eastbound at mile marker 59.8, Upper Saucon Township, 3:45 p.m. Sept. 28. Gusick was stopped for traveling 87 mph in a 55 mph zone and was allegedly found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Two containers with alleged marijuana residue were seized from his vehicle.

Shirley Cumba-Torres, 31, of Allentown, was arrested for DUI on the State Route 222 bypass at Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Sept. 29. Cumba-Torres was stopped for speeding and failing to maintain her lane and was allegedly found to be under the influence of marijuana.

Manufacturing of a controlled substance

Jeffery Miller Jr., 34, of Macungie, was arrested for multiple violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act, causing or risking a catastrophe and recklessly endangering another person. Police responded to a fire at 5457 Hartford Court, Macungie, and Miller allegedly told police the fire started as he was attempting to dispose of chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine. Members of the State Police Clandestine Laboratory Response Team were called to the residence and worked to dismantle the lab and collect evidence.

Harassment

Joseph Croughin, 18, was charged with harassment and underage drinking in the 5500 block of Spring Ridge Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 10:32 p.m. Sept. 28. Croughin was allegedly found to be under the influence after a physical argument with the victim.

Scottie Dorsey, 37, of Allentown, was charged with harassment in the 7500 block of Industrial Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 1 a.m. Sept. 29. Dorsey allegedly told the victim he wanted him to come outside to engage in a fight and wanted to "kill him."

Domestic violence

Timothy Lafaver, 19, of Emmaus, was charged with simple assault and harassment in the 4100 block of Salem Drive, Upper Milford Township, 3:35 p.m. Sept. 25. Lafaver allegedly pushed a 62-year-old female from behind causing her to hit her head on a vehicle leaving a dent on the hood. The victim also sustained a cut on her finger.

Disorderly conduct

Surefit Inc., 8000 Quarry Road, Macungie, was charged with disorderly conduct for allowing four false alarms to occur in a 12-month period.

Jerrold Brucker, 66, of Allentown, was charged with disorderly conduct for allowing four false alarms to occur in a 12-month period in the 1100 block of Hillview Drive, Lower Macungie Township.

Retail theft

A 26-year-old male was charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:10 p.m. Sept. 26. The actor allegedly stole $344.51 worth of merchandise and pushed a store employee before attempting to flee the scene.

Diana Lecessi, 47, of Emmaus, and a 15-year-old female were charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7:25 p.m. Sept. 20. The pair allegedly attempted to steal $415.07 worth of merchandise.

Jimmy Green, 20, of Allentown, and Sean Kendrick, 26, of Allentown, were charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:12 p.m. Sept. 26. The pair allegedly attempted to steal $20 worth of merchandise.

Jessica Warjas, 34, of Hellertown, was charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 7:14 p.m. Sept. 27. Warjas allegedly returned two rugs which were never purchased for a gift card. She then allegedly purchased various items and attempted to leave the store with a Keurig coffee maker on the bottom of her shopping cart before she was stopped by loss prevention.

Criminal mischief

An unknown actor put an unknown substance inside a lock, rendering it unusable, at the Valley Ridge Apartments, Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Sept. 28. This is the fourth incident of its kind in approximately two months.

An unknown actor put numerous roofing nails at the end of a driveway on East Texas Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 8 p.m. Sept. 28 and 8 a.m. Sept. 29. The victim found a nail in the tire of his work truck.An unknown actor poured a fluid consistent with grease on the front patio of Indian Creek Golf Course, 1449 Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, between 12 and 8 a.m. Sept. 29. The actor also poured the liquid on a golf cart.

An unknown actor shot a BB through the rear bathroom window of a residence in the 5800 block of Sandtrap Lane, Lower Macungie Township, between 2 p.m. Sept. 23 and 11 a.m. Sept. 30.
