Volunteers from the Catasauqua Fire Department will be visiting Sheckler Elementary School on Friday, Oct. 12, for Fire Prevention Day. Throughout the day firefighters will hold grade-level assemblies for students to learn about safety and see demonstrations about what to do in a fire situation. They will see firefighting gear that protects the firefighters as they put out a fire and will tour a fire truck.

Smile, Sheckler picture day is Oct. 11. A picture envelope with selection of purchase and payment must be brought to schol on picture day.

The school's health room is in need of children's sweatpants. If you have any to donate they would be greatly appreciated.
