Northampton Community College will host a household hazardous waste drop-off event Oct. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the college's main campus, 3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem.
Paint and automotive products, along with cleaners, pesticide products and miscellaneous items such as thermostats, mercury batteries, glues and adhesives, nail polishes, fluorescent light bulbs and mercury light switches will be accepted.
The collection event is free for county residents and is supported by the Northampton County Department of Community & Economic Development and Northampton Community College. The event is made possible through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
Those attending the event should enter from Oakland and Green Pond roads to parking areas across from Kopecek Hall.
