Couple celebrates
50th anniversary
Grayson and Janet McNair, of Lower Macungie Township, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise on the Danube River and visits to several ports-of-call in three countries. They also visited Vienna, Austria, for three days.
They are pictured at the statue of Johann Strauss in the Stadtpark (city park) along one edge of Vienna's Ringstrasse.
The couple were married Aug. 18, 1962, in Egner Memorial Chapel, Muhlenberg College, Allentown.
Mr. McNair retired from PP&L after a 32-year career. He also served as a Lehigh County Commissioner and Lehigh County Director of Human Services.
Mrs. McNair retired from teaching public school and, later, the Emmaus Public Library.
They have two sons, Douglas of Emmaus (wife, Kathy) and Timothy of Nazareth (wife, Kim). A daughter, Kerry Ann, died in infancy.
They also have two granddaughters, Emily Anne and Addison Rhea.
The couple were honored at a family and friends' party given by their sons and daughters-in-law before their trip to Europe.
