Meet the Teacher Night at Gockley Elementary is planned for 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.

Parents are encouraged to come meet teachers and tour the building. Children should not accompany their parents.

A presentation by teachers will begin promptly at 6:40 p.m. and parents are asked to arrive on time.

Be sure to stop in the cafeteria to check out the PTO fundraiser. Parents may also check lunch accounts and add money for lunches.

PTO needs support: The Whitehall-Coplay Parent-Teacher Organization provides numerous educational and cultural programs for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Many of the special events could not occur without the assistance and financial support of this group.

During the upcoming weeks parents will receive information about becoming a member. No commitments are required though volunteers are welcomed for the following categories: hospitality, classroom volunteers, holiday parties, school spirit, fundraiser, publicity, book fairs, Children's Day and special projects.

Fundraising information will also be distributed.
