To increase convenience and access to postal services, a new Contract Postal Unit has been opened at Emmaus Avenue Laundromat, 2825 W. Emmaus Avenue, Allentown.

A full line of postal products and services are available at the new CPU including postage stamps, Express Mail® service, Priority Mail® service, special services, packaging products and more.

Emmaus Avenue Laundromat CPU hours of operation provide convenient access 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays and holidays. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held 4:30 p.m. Sept. 12 along with a grand opening celebration 4 to 6 p.m.

"Customers will easily recognize the presence of postal services at new contract locations by the exterior and interior signage, as well as product display," Sheryl Velazquez, postmaster, Allentown Post Office said.

The Postal Service™ has re-engineered the entire CPU program to better answer the needs of postal service customers nationwide.
