Sheckler Elementary School's annual Cherrydale fundraiser kicks off on Friday, Sept. 7, with an assembly for students. Sales packets will be sent home with students that day.
The sale will run through Sept, 28, when all money and orders are due. There are opportunities to earn some great prizes and to qualify for fun events.
Profits pay for student activities and events including grade level field trips.

Sheckler will be holding a book fair Sept. 7-13. Students will be given opportunities to purchase books in the morning.
Also, on Sept. 11, the book fair will be open 4-5 p.m. for a "grand" event, allowing students to shop with a "grand" parent.
The fair will be open Sept. 13 during Meet the Teacher Night for families to shop together from 6 to 8 p.m.

Meet the Teacher Night is set for Sept. 13 beginning at 7 p.m.
The doors open at 6 p.m, so families can visit the book fair.
This night gives parents a chance to meet with their child's teacher, learn about plans for the school year and to ask questions. There are two sessions so parents with more than one child can attend each classroom.
During the evening, tables will be set up in the gym with information on Sheckler activities, events and programs.
Don't forget to visit the Home and School display and learn about how you can become part of a great and worthwhile organization.

As part of the Giant A+ School Rewards Program, parents , family members and friends are asked to register their Giant Bonus Card online by going to www.giantfoodstores.com/aplus and designate our school.
The code for Sheckler Elementary is 03399.
Once registered, each time the bonus card is used to make a purchase, it will help to earn cash for the school. Sheckler will earn a check at the end of the program which runs through March 30.
Last year Sheckler received a check for $2,500, just for families registering their shopper cards.
Just a reminder, even if you registered your card last year you still need to register it again for this year's program.
This is another great opportunity to show your support and help out your child's school.
