Summer has come to an end, and it is time to get back to school. Classes throughout the district begin Sept. 4.

Smile it's picture day already! Students at Washington's Crossing and the high school will have their school pictures taken on the first day of school.

Purchasing the photos is optional.

PTAs and PTSAs to meet: Mark your calendars for upcoming meetings for the PTA and PTSA groups.

On Tuesday, Sept. 4, George Wolf Elementary PTA meets at 7 p.m.

The Lehigh and Moore Elementary groups meet Sept. 10. Lehigh's meeting begins at 6:30 and Moore at 7 p.m.

The high school PTSA meets 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11.

The Borough PTA meets 7 p.m. Sept. 11.

The middle school PTA meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 12

School board meeting: The public is invited to the next school board meeting 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the district offices, 2014 Laubach Ave.

Field hockey team fundraiser: The Northampton field hockey team is asking for your support Sept. 15 when the team hosts a car wash and bake sale at the Auto Zone, 3599 MacArthur Road, Whitehall.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
