I hope the first week of school is going smoothly for Catsauqua Middle School students, teachers and staff.

The CMS breakfast program begins on Tuesday, Sept. 4, with breakfast served from 7:20 to 7:45 a.m.

A reminder to students and families, school is closed Friday, Aug. 31, and Monday, Sept. 3, for the Labor Day holiday. Doors open daily at 7:45 a.m. and dismissal time is at 2:20 p.m.

The school's S.T.A.R.S Goal for the month of September is 100 percent for homework completion. Be successful and reach for the stars. Every student can achieve this goal.

The first school fundraiser event of the year will include the Enjoy the City coupon books. Due to positive feedback from parents, CMS decided to continue this fundraiser again. The school will distribute information to students regarding the fundraiser to bring home to parents. All proceeds from the fundraiser go to the student activity fund and directly benefit students.

This year's Parent Teacher Forum meetings will convene on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the middle school library. The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Mark your calendar for Meet the Teacher Night, which will be held Thursday, Sept. 20, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Plan to attend and meet your child's team of teachers and receive an overview of each academic program.
