Allentown residents

face charges

Four Allentown residents were charged after they were allegedly seen trying to steal a spare tire at 2 p.m. Aug. 4 from a car belonging to a customer of Feinour's Automotive, Route 309, Lynn Township, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

Sixto Acosta-Pena, 20; Joendy Nunez, 23; Jorge Nunez, 20; and a 16-year-old boy were all charged with theft from a motor vehicle, conspiracy to commit theft, trespassing and criminal mischief.

Charges were filed with District Judge Rod Beck, Slatington.

Steel plates, doors

stolen from grove

Four steel plates and four steel doors attached to a woodburning fire pit at Emerald Grove, Washington Township, were stolen sometime between 9 a.m. July 29 and 7 a.m. Aug. 1, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say.

There are no markings on the plates or doors, which belong to Star Hose Fire Co. No. 1, Emerald. The plates are about 3 feet by 4 feet and three-quarters of an inch thick.

Anyone with information regarding this theft should contact state police at 610-861-2026 and reference incident number, M01-1419071.

Fogelsville man

is fraud victim

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say unauthorized purchases were made between Dec. 1, 2011 and July 30 on a credit card belonging to a resident of the 2100 block of Packhouse Road, Weisenberg Township.

The investigation is ongoing.

Driver cited

after crash

Paul D. Zellers, 23, of Germansville, was cited by police following a two-vehicle crash 12:44 p.m. on July 20 at the intersection of Route 100 and Sell Road, Lowhill Township, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

Police say Zellers was making a left turn onto Route 100 from Sell Road in a 1997 Saturn SC1, but apparently failed to clear the intersection beforehand.

A 2009 Jeep Compass driven by Constance L. Redcay, 60, of Slatington struck the driver's side of his car.

Police say Zellers suffered minor cuts to hishand. Redcay was uninjured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, according to police.

Both vehicles were towed by Getz Towing.

Zellers was cited for failing to yield to approaching traffic after stopping at a stop sign.

Northwestern EMS and New Tripoli Fire Company assisted on the scene.

Car crashes

into house

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say a male driver fled the scene around 11 p.m. July 28 after crashing his 2012 Chevrolet Cruz into a residence in the 8800 block of Claussville Road, Weisenberg Township.

Police say the driver was heading west on Claussville Road and, as he approached Distillery Road, he lost control of his car and crashed into the front wall of the house.

The driver, who police say was uninjured, was not at the scene when police arrived.

The car, which is currently in a shop being fixed, suffered moderate damage to the front bumper, front hood and both headlights.
